personal essays & other, secret things

i spent endless sunlit days as a child tunneling into the depths of the early 2000s internet. and now i'm back.

no but really i've been developing a lot of resentment toward my time spent online lately. it feels like passive consumption from three megacorporations that i can't escape. and i like the internet. i love being online. it just feels sometimes like being online is being reduced to something we're unable to participate actively in. it's becoming something that we don't have to seek out, but also something that's like, mostly horrible to experience and i hate it?

in order to break out of this sort of complacency and to give myself something to do on company time (if you're my boss, this is a joke. also, please leave) i've made this website as both a creative outlet and a place to post my writing, which for the most part doesn't have a place on traditional forms of social media. i hope u have fun here. welcome to shades of blue.
